Bridal news (weddings, engagements and anniversaries) is published in the Oceana's Herald-Journal on Thursdays. Deadline for submission is 1 p.m. Friday prior to publication date. Forms are available at the Herald-Journal office or below. A simple listing of names and wedding dates will be published at no charge. Detailed announcements are available for $15, and photos are published for $12 each. Detailed announcements must be pre-paid; you may call the Herald-Journal office at 231-873-5602 with a credit card number or drop off a check.
Photographs should be of good quality. Photos may be picked up after publication or returned in a self-addressed, stamped envelope included with the announcement.
Digital photos should be sent as an attachment, 200 dpi (dots per inch of resolution), 4 to 8 inches tall or wide. The file name should be the lastnameanniversary.jpg (i.e. smithanniversary.jpg) and should be saved as a jpeg file type.
